Camp FAQ's

How long does the camp run?

Our Beach Soccer Camps are from 9am-3pm daily, Monday through Friday.


What are the hours of the camp?

Camps start at 9:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM  *(After care may be available 3-5pm).


What do I need to wear?

Sunscreen, Santa Monica Beach Soccer Shirt, Sand Socks are optional. Shin guards and cleats are not allowed in beach soccer.


What do I need to bring?

Lots of sunscreen, water bottle, set of dry clothes and a towel is a must. A healthy lunch and snack for the breaks is a good idea too.


Is there parking for our parents?

There is a 2 Hour lot ($1 per hour) as well as the larger All Day lot ($8-10/day) located at the beach on Barnard Way just south of Ocean Park Blvd.


Will water be provided?

There are water fountains available to refill water bottles but players should bring a reusable water bottle.


Do we need to bring snacks?

Snacks are a good idea for our shorter breaks but players can buy lunch at Perry's Cafe located next to the training facility.


Do we need to bring lunch?

Players can pack a healthy lunch or may buy lunch at Perry's Cafe located next to the training facility.


Do we need to bring shoes?

No. Beach soccer is played barefoot. No cleats, sneakers, running shoes, etc. required. Sand soccer socks are optional & may be purchased on our website or at the camp.


What happens if it rains?

We have a canopy or we use the shelter at Perry's Cafe although the famous song lyric is pretty accurate..."It never rains in sunny Southern California."


Will we get uniforms?

We require each camper to pre-order and purchase our Santa Monica Beach Soccer Camp shirt.


Do I need to bring a soccer ball?

Soccer ball is optional. We provide soccer balls to all of our camps. Official Beach Soccer Balls are also available for purchase on our website or at the location.


What age groups participate?

The camp is open for boys and girls aged 6 to 17. Depending on the camp attendance list we will break down into groups based on age, size and ability.


Are the teams mixed, boys and girls?

Yes, most of the time we will mix boys with girls within the groups again based on age, size and ability.  


Do we need to bring Sunscreen?

Sunscreen is mandatory for every beach soccer camp.


How intense are the trainings?

The intensity is adjusted accordingly, depending on the groups and their age, ability and experience.


How much fun can my child expect to have?

Fun is what Beach Soccer is all about with Santa Monica Beach Soccer Camps being among the most popular with the kids. Many of our campers are returning players who have already experienced the fun, health, and social benefits of Santa Monica Beach Soccer.
